Werewolves

Today I am suddenly
scared of werewolves
and I have never been scared
before of werewolves,
so this is a new fear and I am
sad as I am sad
of a new love
or an old love that is not now a love.
I was always scared
of ghosts especially and occasionally
big dogs,
so this is like I guess
being scared of the
same old things but all at once,
like seeing two old lovers together
suddenly embrace
on the street then turn toward
                                                                   you

werewolves whose bodies you remember
